Use of Accessible Instructional Materials

Maine AIM - Accessible Instructional Materials

In addition to selecting the specialized format(s), the school-based team needs to choose the appropriate Assistive Technology (AT) and type of training needed so the student can effectively use the specialized format(s).

AT can be either a software program, such as a specialized text-to-speech reader of digital text files, or a device, such as a handheld audio player or a refreshable Braille display. Read more about AT and AIM.
